The beauty of hiring Wayne's Auctioneering Service to conduct a sale is that Kauenhofen and his friendly staff do virtually all the work. After assessing the sale volume and noting every major item that will go under the gavel, Kauenhofen has auction posters printed and distributes them across southern Manitoba in order to attract the widest possible audience.

"We do all the work for you, from when you call to when the sale is over," he says.

Kauenhofen has access to auctioneers' web sites that lists the dates of sales throughout the province. Thus, he can help his clients select dates that will not conflict with other big sales and potentially result in a smaller crowd.

On sale day, clients set up the items for the auction and then Kauenhofen takes over the microphone to work the crowd and garner the highest bids.

He employs up to six people including his wife and other family members to help with the logistics of the sale. His staff are friendly and outgoing- key qualities when working an auction.

Sales are generally held outdoors, unless there is a large shed or machine shop on-site.
